Pankaj has been a web developer for most of his life. Upon finding his passion in his younger years, he focused his studies in this direction, completing a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering in Punjab, India, in 2011. He then entered the workforce, spending 18 months as a systems engineer in Infosys Limited, primarily developing applications for a health insurance client. However, Pankaj's naturally inquisitive mind could not rest. He sought further study, and ventured to Canada to undertake a Master's in Computer Science at the University of Manitoba. Once in Winnipeg he encountered Think Shift, and after an internship with the agency, he became a full-fledged member of our team.
Pankaj's other interests include food, exercise, films and spending time with those important to him.
Q. What got you into programming/development in the first place?
A. I started as a non-programmer with zero knowledge of writing code. I thought I was not meant for it. But, during one particular small project I developed an interest in it. The experience I had and success of the project made me realize that my approach towards programming was absolutely wrong. From that point onward, I developed a strong inclination towards programming, and started learning the nuances of the craft. I realized, this is what I want to do, this is what drives me and makes me love my job.
