From the potato fields of Winkler, Manitoba, to the sun-drenched beaches of Southern California, Paul’s journey into the world of film began humbly, with iMovie and a two-megapixel Canon Elph. Throughout his youth that camera never left his hands, and he soon learned his passion for seeing the world through a viewfinder. Paul pursued his interest in photography and filmmaking into adulthood, graduating from the Avid Camp editing school in Portland, Oregon, in 2002.
Paul started his career as an editor at MidCan before migrating to a shooter/editor position at Shaw TV. He left that job to become a freelance cinematographer and editor, before accepting an offer to Join Think Shift’s video department. Here Paul applies his technical knowledge and fervent passion in making clients’ brands come to life in video format. Fun fact: Paul taught a DSLR video class at Red River College as part of the two-year DMD program.
