Cocoa in West Africa Microsite
Global agriculture presents unique communication challenges. We’ve been working with CropLife International to help bring their brand to life, increase their digital presence and spur global dialogue on the issues that matter.
After filming and editing a top quality documentary in West Africa, CropLife International was looking to share this story with the world.
Our approach was to break the project into six chapters, each of which featured the story, photo and video footage (available in English and French) of an actual farmer or individual from the region who participated in the documentary. As website users scroll down, they are taken through the story using pull-quotes and simplified text.
We developed a single-page parallax microsite that walks visitors through the full story, complete with video clips, quotes, infographics and pre-written shareable tweets. The highly-visual style with simplified text is in keeping with CropLife’s overall look and feel, and means the content is more accessible to users of different backgrounds and languages.

The project received a Signature Award for best microsite from the Advertising Association of Winnipeg and is a finalist for a Best of Canadian Agri-Marketing Association award.
