Make Nice Happen 2015
December 8, 2015
Make Nice Happen is an initiative that encourages companies to care for their communities, especially during the winter holiday season.
For the second year in a row, Think Shift Winnipeg – in partnership with North End Community Renewal Corp. and the Indigenous Family Centre – set up a pop-up boutique in the city's North End where youth and community members were invited to shop for free gifts for family and friends.
We were overwhelmed by support from our clients and friends. Together, companies like ADAMA Canada, CANTERRA SEEDS, Cargill, Pineridge Hollow and Platinum Promotions as well as individual donors contributed thousands of dollars worth of gifts and volunteered their time to help serve the more than 400 guests in attendance. The event also included a complimentary gift wrapping station and festive snacks and drinks.
The Winnipeg Free Press shared one family's story about their experience at the shop.
