Cheryl’s 10 years of corporate experience in various leadership and support roles in the insurance industry provided a solid foundation in business management, but left her with an unfulfilled ambition to experience more. She moved to Montreal where she spent several years enjoying the culture and beauty. Moving next to Toronto, she studied Fashion Arts with a heavy focus on marketing and advertising, which enabled her to pursue a career in a more creative industry. After graduation, she decided it was time to return to her roots. Cheryl worked at another Winnipeg-based agency, building beautiful relationships with staff, clientele and vendors, and gaining valuable industry insights and expertise that helped to bridge the gap between her creative and strategic sides. Today, Cheryl knows that this “here and now” is exactly the place she was meant to be.
Q. What got you into this business in the first place?
A. My love of all things creative; the desire to be a part of something different – an experience – and being able to share that with others.
Q. What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?
A. I love challenges, pushing past fears and experiencing the unknown. So while scaling tall buildings for charity and travel really excite me, one of my everyday feats is making intricate but copious amounts of soup on weeknights (clean up is always the kicker!).
