Jess graduated from the University of Winnipeg in April 2019, where he majored in filmmaking and enjoyed an array of electives, including philosophy, history and religion. While completing his degree, Jess broke into the film industry in Vancouver and Winnipeg, working with companies such as Oddfellow Pictures, Salazar Films, and Vice. He also spent three years working at C-NRPP, a non-profit organization that raises awareness around the dangers of radon. At Think Shift, Jess brings a number of key strengths to the table, including producing, project management, and picture editing, although he enjoys all aspects of production and the administrative duties that entails.
In his personal life, Jess enjoys reading, playing sports, watching movies on the Criterion Channel and riding his bike.
