Sam Giesbrecht

Graphic Designer

After a three-year blur of school and summer jobs, Sam graduated from the Advanced Graphic Design program at Red River College in 2012 and joined the Think Shift creative team. A self-professed design nerd, Sam spends his free time doing illustrated typography, painting and drawing. His favorite design tasks are scene building in Photoshop and Cinema 4D, and laying out visual data. Sam’s eclectic collection of hobbies includes blacksmithing and astronomy.

Q. What do you do for fun when you’re not working?
A. I’m a big fan of traditional printmaking. I have a homemade screenprinting setup and rolling press that I have good intentions of using. I design a lot of stuff that never quite makes it to the process, but I love the idea of using your hands to make something beautiful.
