Victoria was born and raised in rural Ontario where she grew up on a hobby farm in Prince Edward County. She spent her childhood dirt biking in the fields, then coming inside to clean off the mud and play the piano. Victoria completed an Advanced Diploma in Advertising from Algonquin College, then went on to finish a degree in Communication and Sociology from the University of Ottawa.
Victoria started her marketing and communications career in St. John’s, Newfoundland where she also met her husband. Together they moved to Calgary in 2014, where she got her start working in agriculture. Victoria spent over seven years gaining a deep appreciation for farmers through her role with the Alberta Wheat Commission – and eventually the Alberta Wheat and Barley Commissions – following a staff merger. By the end of her tenure at the commissions, Victoria was leading the communications department and her team passionately implemented innovative marketing and communications strategies.
Victoria and her husband now reside in Montreal, Quebec so they can raise their daughter closer to their extended family in Ontario and Newfoundland.
